Nigel’s career in aviation began as a Craft Apprentice at British Aerospace, Woodford. Qualifying as an Aircraft Fitter, Nigel worked in aircraft production prior to becoming a Production Supervisor. After moving to British Airways and spending over 10 years a certifying engineer, he moved on to what eventually became Thomas Cook Airlines fulfilling roles in Line Maintenance, Maintrol, Maintenance Liaison, Technical Services, Quality Assurance and Continuing Airworthiness.
During his career at Thomas Cook Airlines, Nigel held several different Post Holder positions and was the chair of the Continuing Airworthiness & Maintenance Safety Action Group (SAG). Keen on Continuing Professional Development Nigel has a number of formal Management, Safety Management and Auditing Qualifications and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
